Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment used in physiotherapy to help reduce pain and promote healing in musculoskeletal (MSK) injuries. It uses high-energy sound waves to stimulate blood flow, break down scar tissue, and encourage tissue repair—commonly used for tendon, ligament, and chronic soft tissue conditions.
Shockwave Therapy is highly effective for treating both acute and chronic injuries, particularly in areas with limited blood supply. Common conditions we treat include:
Plantar fasciitis and heel spurs
Achilles tendinopathy
Patellar tendinopathy (“jumper’s knee”)
Shoulder tendon injuries
Tennis elbow and golfer’s elbow
Gluteal tendinopathy
Hamstring and adductor tendinopathies
Shin splints
Chronic muscular tightness and trigger points
